More than two decades after the original Alila Jakarta, the Singapore-based hoteliers are back with another iteration. Alila SCBD Jakarta is, like its predecessor, a skyscraper-based luxury boutique hotel, this time in the busy Sudirman Central Business District. And it’s hard to imagine a luxury boutique hotel looking more of-the-moment than this one does; the minimalist-chic interiors by the Rockwell Group are adorned with contemporary artworks and bold colors. There’s an expansive pool terrace with a jacuzzi, and a well-equipped gym; restaurants include the French-American Vong Kitchen, by the Michelin-starred celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his son Cedric.
